Capital One Offers 7-Day Banking and Extended Hours in Texas; Convenience is the Foundation of Capital One's 'No Hassle Banking'

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2006--Capital One bank is now offering the convenience of seven-day banking to all of its branches in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex, metropolitan Houston and Austin. Starting this week, Capital One customers in Texas have access to the same full-service banking on Sundays as on any other day of the week - making it even easier and more convenient for customers to satisfy their banking needs.

"Our seven-day-a-week service demonstrates Capital One's commitment to the highest level of customer service," said Robert M. Kottler, Texas De Novo Area Manager for the Banking segment of Capital One. "We understand that, for some of our customers, regular banking hours don't always fit into their busy schedules. It's our goal to make 'No Hassle Banking' the new standard for service and convenience."

Capital One's 31 branches in metropolitan Houston, 18 branches in the DFW metroplex and one branch in Austin now offer seven-day banking. Branch hours have also been extended on weekdays at the DFW, Houston and Austin branches. The new lobby hours, which took effect Monday, April 24, are as follows:

        -- Monday through Friday - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

        -- Saturday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

        -- Sunday - Noon to 4 p.m.

The added convenience also applies to the drive-up lanes at these same branches. The new drive-up lane hours are as follows:

        -- Monday through Friday - 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

        -- Saturday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

        -- Sunday - Noon to 4 p.m.

Capital One finalized its acquisition of Hibernia Corporation in November 2005 and on April 24, all 125 former Hibernia Bank locations in Texas changed their name and appearance to reflect Capital One's well-known national brand. "As part of Capital One, we're able to provide a broader range of financial products and services to our customers and even better service," said Kottler. "We're going the extra mile - and in this case, the extra day, at our Texas branches - to make Capital One the most convenient bank in the community."

Capital One plans to open 40 new branches in Texas in 2006. The company also has more than 190 locations in Louisiana.
