Capital One Hires First Brand Manager

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital One Financial Corporation (NYSE: COF) announces William J. McDonald has joined the Company as Senior Vice President for Brand Management. Mr. McDonald will be responsible for leading Capital One's marketing, advertising and global brand positioning -- ultimately increasing the effectiveness of Capital One's brands all over the world.

Mr. McDonald joins Capital One after 19 years of marketing and brand management experience from such companies as Frito Lay, PepsiCo, Pizza Hut, KFC and, most recently, Boston Market. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Texas.
