FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- After a series of announcements
to grow its operations around the country, Capital One Services, Inc.
announced plans to open a customer relations call center in Boise, Idaho to
further meet the needs of its growing customer base. Capital One acquired
assets of an existing call center -- and immediately hired the center's
approximately 110 employees. Capital One plans to hire 400 additional
associates by year-end 2000 to staff the site.
    "Because of our explosive growth -- we're currently adding 15,000 new
customers every day -- we are always searching for talented people to fuel
that growth. This newest expansion will help us expand into new markets, new
businesses and new products," said Richard D. Fairbank, Capital One's Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer.
    The site in Boise will service Capital One's existing customer base, which
totals more than 18 million customers worldwide.
