Thomas G. Maheras was appointed to the Capital One Board of Directors effective May 18, 2025 in connection with Capital One’s acquisition of Discover. Mr. Maheras served on the board of Discover starting in 2008 and served as the independent chairman of Discover from May 2020 through the acquisition of Discover by Capital One. He has been the managing partner of Tegean Capital Management, LLC, an investment advisory firm based in New York, since 2008 and was a partner of Iron Park Capital Management, LLC from 2019 to 2024. Prior to that, he was chairman and co-chief executive officer of Citi Markets and Banking, the investment banking division of Citigroup, Inc. He has served as chairman of the U.S. Treasury Department Borrowing Advisory Committee and as an executive committee member of the Board of Directors of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
